Texas Association of Concealed HAndgun Instructors

Mission Statement

It is the express objective of this association to represent Member Instructors' interests and goals. It will work at changing current or future legislation for the benefit of Instructor's CHL business interests; by submitting recommendations through proper channels or entities, or by enlisting its own political help. Furthermore, the general public's safety shall ever be at the forefront of all our endeavors.

To that end, T.A.C.C.I. will review current and future legislation for criteria it deems harmful to the public's safety, or that hinders its' members' rights to a free and successful CHL enterprise; and attempt to shed light to it on behalf of all Instructors,

This association will never work to undermine any existing associations, but will instead work to compliment other's agendas, and to work with them as closely as possible in order to attain like objectives in so far as CHL regulations are concerned.

This association is about TX DPS Certified CHL Instructors, their good, and the protection of their rights to free enterprise and not to acquiesce to legislation that will hinder their CHL business goals. This association further limits its membership to TX DPS Certified CHL Instructors only, and reserves the right to reach out to all Texas CHL Instructors for their support and membership.

The Texas State Rifle Association, along with various other persons or groups, led the final battle to obtain the CHL program in Texas.

It could do so because of its political clout, which comes because of the size of its voting membership and their contributions through membership dues and several of their fundraising programs. As a CHL Instructor, you should lead your conceal handgun students into joining TSRA and helping to contribute to the ever going cause of our 2nd Amendment rights, by example; join TSRA today.
